Stop & Breathe

Scientific research tells us that giving yourself, your team and your colleagues the time and space to stop and breathe mindfully is a highly effective way to reduce stress, anxiety and depression in the workplace and this workshop has been specifically designed to improve focus, develop awareness, increase emotional intelligence and boost resillience to the ups and downs of life.

Although simple, many people do not take the time to slow their breath and calm their thoughts before busily going on from one important task to the next. If left unchecked this can lead to a build up of cortisol (the stress hormone in the body) resulting in poor decision making, fractious relationships and illness.

Teaching people, outlining the importance and benefits of breathing properly and giving them the skills to calm their thoughts and concentrate on the task in hand through focused attention, helps people to feel happier, more empowered and calmer in all areas of their life which naturally leads to an increase in productivity, performance and a reduction in employer costs.

These 60 minute workshops involve an introduction to the history and therapeutic benefits of breathing deeply and calming, the importance of intention and focused attention, improving concentration by using the breath, guided relaxation and group connection exercises.
